Compress image to 100 KB
Drop your photo, keep 100 as the target, and get a file that fits. It all happens in your browser.
Private by design: your files are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers.
100 KB is a common limit for application forms, ID uploads and profile pictures, and phone photos are usually much larger. This tool lowers the picture quality step by step, and shrinks the pixel size only if it has to, until the file is 100 KB or less.
It is the same idea as the Compress to KB tool inside the ScanOrbit app, so you get the same result on the web and on your phone.
How to use
- Choose your photo, or drop it on the box.
- Leave the target at 100 KB, or type another number.
- Press Compress to KB, then Download.
Tips
- Start from the original photo, not a screenshot. Screenshots are already low quality.
- If the result looks too soft, try 200 KB and see if the form still accepts it.
- The result is saved as a JPG, because JPG gives the smallest file for photos. Transparent areas turn white.
Questions
How do I reduce an image to 100KB?
Add your photo, keep the target at 100, and press Compress to KB. The tool shrinks it until it is 100 KB or smaller, then you download it.
Does it upload my photo?
No. The picture is processed inside your browser and never sent to a server.
Will the 100KB photo look bad?
It depends on the photo. Simple, bright pictures stay sharp. Very large or detailed photos lose some detail at 100 KB, so check the result before you upload.
Can I do many photos at once?
Yes. Add several photos and each one is compressed to the target size.
