Compress image to 50 KB

Drop your photo, keep 50 as the target, and get a file that fits. It all happens in your browser.

Drop photos here or tap to chooseJPG, PNG or WebP. You can select many at once.

Private by design: your files are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers.

Many exam and job application forms ask for a photo that is no bigger than 50 KB, and the upload fails if it is even slightly over. This tool lowers the picture quality step by step, and shrinks the pixel size only if it has to, until the file is 50 KB or less.

It is the same idea as the Compress to KB tool inside the ScanOrbit app, so you get the same result on the web and on your phone.

    How to use

    1. Choose your photo, or drop it on the box.
    2. Leave the target at 50 KB, or type another number.
    3. Press Compress to KB, then Download.

    Tips

    Questions

How do I reduce an image to 50KB?

Add your photo, keep the target at 50, and press Compress to KB. The tool shrinks it until it is 50 KB or smaller, then you download it.

    Does it upload my photo?

No. The picture is processed inside your browser and never sent to a server.

Will the 50KB photo look bad?

It depends on the photo. Simple, bright pictures stay sharp. Very large or detailed photos lose some detail at 50 KB, so check the result before you upload.

Can I do many photos at once?

Yes. Add several photos and each one is compressed to the target size.
